GENERAL QUESTIONS


Is a Home Giveaway legal?

YES, it is legal. The passage of Proposition 17 by California voters brought about a recent change in California Law that now allows non-profit corporations, religious organizations, educational organizations or foundations to engage or host giveaways and raffles to raise funds to further their work. What are the laws in my state concerning a Home Giveaway?

How will the UriYAH Home Giveaway be conducted?

Early Bird drawings will be held in various stages:


The first early bird drawing will take place when a total of 1000 donations of $150 are made.

The second early bird drawing will take place when a total of 3000 donations of $150 are made.

The third early bird drawing will take place when a total of 6000 donations of $150 are made.

The fourth early bird drawing will take place when a total of 8000 donations of $150 are made.
The fifth early bird drawing will take place when a total of 10,000 donations of $150 are made.
The sixth early bird drawing will take place when a total of 12,000 donations of $150 are made.



(See Early Bird Prizes). All tickets entered into the drawing, will remain in the drawing for subsequent early bird drawings. Example: If a person donates a minimum of $150.00, that person will be automatically entered into our early bird drawings prior to the first early bird drawing and that person’s entry ticket will also be entered into all subsequent drawings.

The Grand Prize Drawing for the UriYAH Home Giveaway will be held 60 days after the 20,000th donation has been made and ticket issued. The exact location of the drawing will be determined and announced on the UriYAH Home Giveaway website. An independent accounting firm will supervise and audit the drawings. The UriYAH Republic Home Giveaway is open to the public and the winner does not need to be present to win. UriYAH Republic will inform the winners via mail, email, phone and the UriYAH Home Giveaway website.



Tickets

UriYAH Republic will issue a ticket for a minimum donation of $150.00. Only 20,000 tickets will be issued per Home Giveaway. The chances of winning are based on that number. Only one eligible person may be entered in the Home Giveaway per ticket. If the name of more than one person is submitted with a ticket purchase, and that ticket is selected as a winning ticket, then the person named first will be deemed the holder of record of that ticket and declared the winner. Division of prize by a group purchasing a ticket in common shall be to the sole responsibility of the person named as the holder of record of that ticket, should that ticket be selected as a winner.


PRIZE AWARDS IN EVENT OF LACK OF DONOR SUPPORT:

If fewer than 16,000 donations are received, one year after the initiation of the home giveaway, the drawing will be held as scheduled and The Grand Prize winner will be awarded a cash prize equal to $300,000.00 (subject to applicable withholding of required taxes).

What charitable causes does UriYAH Republic support?

The proceeds of this Home Giveaway fundraiser will support the feeding of orphanages with an aquaponic organic food growing systems. Our goal is to give a gift that will never stop giving. This aquaponic system will forever assist in relieving the orphanage of its food bill by perpetually producing fresh organic fish, fruits and vegetables. We will also provide an age appropriate aquaculture, agriculture and farming curriculum for the school children, which will teach them how to produce good healthy food for a lifetime.

As a homeowner, can I partner with UriYAH Republic to Giveaway my home?

Yes, partnering with UriYAH Republic is a great way to support charity, sell your home and promote affordable home ownership.

Can I donate land ?

No.

How much money will I receive at the conclusion of the Home Giveaway?

As a homeowner partnering with UriYAH Home Giveaway, you will receive the appraised value at the time of the grand prize drawing.

What happens if not enough donations are received?

If fewer than 16,000 donations are received, one year after the initiation of the home giveaway, the drawing will be held as scheduled and The Grand Prize winner will be awarded a cash prize equal to $150,000.00 (subject to applicable withholding of required taxes).

Who benefits from the Home Giveaway?

UriYAH Republic, the communities we serve and the orphan children benefiting from the UriYAH Aquaponic Farms being constructed globally.



PARTNER QUESTIONS


When does the Home Giveaway start and end?

The UriYAH Home Giveaway will begin upon the completion of all documentation with a homeowner and an official launch date will be set. Donations and the issuing of Tickets will end at midnight 12 months later. The final and Grand Prize Drawing will be held 60 days after the sale of the 20,000th donation has been received or at the end of the 12th month.



Note: Other similar Home Giveaways in Southern California have sold out in as few as six weeks. We must receive a minimum of 16,000 donations in order to giveaway the house.

How is the winner chosen?

Winners will be determined by random drawings. The names will be made available to the media and will be posted on the UriYAH Home Giveaway website. If the winner of any prize is not present at the drawing, the prize recipient will be notified by mail, email and by phone on the day of the drawing. The winner’s names will also be given to the media and posted on our official UriYAH Home Giveaway website for advertisement and promotional purposes. The public is invited to attend the drawings.

Will the Home Giveaway be audited?

Yes.

DONATIONS QUESTIONS


How many times can I donate?

You can donate as many times as you choose and you will receive an additional drawing entry with each donation.

How many drawing entries will there be per Home Giveaway?

Only 20,000 entries will be allowed per drawing. A minimum of 16,000 donations are required in order for the Grand Prize drawing to take place.

Who can make a donation and receive automatic entry into the Home Giveaway?

Donors must be at least 18 years of age at the time of donation. For automatic entry in the Home Giveaway, the name of an individual above the age of 18 must be registered at the time of the donation. Drawing entries will not be allowed in the name of a business, trust, corporation, or other entity, or wherever prohibited by applicable law. Directors, Board Member or Employees of UriYAH, Inc. are prohibited from the Home Giveaway Drawing. Prizewinners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility.

Is the donation amount tax deductible?

Yes.
